Thu, January 8, 2004 - 8:04 AMNikki, I think we have to be gentle with ourselves. Don't fall into the trap of putting yourself down because you're not able (at this moment) to forgive someone. So, yes, certainly forgive yourself.
I believe forgiveness is a process. What I related in the other post about the miracle I saw in my ex lasted for a short while. The memory of seeing that miracle lasted months. Now it's awfully hard to see him in ANY kind of light. Time to work on forgiveness again. See? It's a process.
As long as we are living in these bodies, we'll encounter problems. It's what humans do.
So with our human eyes, we try to see others as God sees them. That's impossible. So we meditate and reach our inner spirit and we become more aware.
Then the shit hits the fan (again.)
So we start again......
